For over 50 years, Leland has celebrated Christmas in unique Southern Style. The community comes together to place lighted floating holiday displays along the creek that stretches through town, and it is a Christmas sight not to be missed!

In 2014, for the 50th Anniversary celebration, the Leland Chamber invited retailers from around the state to come to Leland and set up shop for the day. This is fast becoming a new staple for this old tradition.

This year, the Chamber will also host horse-drawn carriages that will run on the evenings of Dec 4 & 5, offering you a unique view of the lighted creek. Carriage rides must be purchased in advance. Please call 662-379-3764 to make your reservation.

Santa's arrival in Leland is a highly-anticipated event, as his sleigh lands on the creek and comes up the water. Community members and visitors will gather on the Rainbow Connection bridge in Downtown Leland starting at 5pm to see Santa arrive. His stop is scheduled for 5:30pm, which will be followed by a chili supper and visits with Santa at the Methodist Church.
