Leland's MS Wildlife Heritage Museum has completed renovations on the old Joe Turner Hardware Store building and will be hosting the Smithsonian Institution's Hometown Teams Traveling Exhibit. The Exhibit will open on August 30 from 5:30 to 7:30 and will be open for public viewing 10am - 4pm Mon-Fri through the end of September. The exhibit is free and open to the public. Special groups may schedule visits at other times by calling Bob Neill at 686-7789 during business hours.

 

The MS Department of Humanities is co-sponsoring the Exhibit coordinated by Emily Jones, the Delta State Archivist, and Bob Neill, Secretary/Treasurer of the MWHM.

 

The Mississippi Wildlife Heritage Museum is located at 302 N Broad St in Downtown Leland. Stop over and see this exciting space and the amazing renovations to this historic Leland building!

 

The Mississippi Wildlife Heritage Museum has set its Grand Opening for the first week of June, 2017. More details about opening events to come.
